Development Programs

“Youth Work” is defined as “a planned programme of education designed for the purpose of aiding and enhancing the personal and social development of young persons through their voluntary participation, and which is - complementary to their formal, academic or vocational education and training; and provided primarily by voluntary youth work organisanisations [Youth Work Act, 2001]
Bradóg seeks to help young people reach their fullest potential by engaging them in a variety of processes and experiences that help them to develop, grow and face the challenges of life. The voluntary participation of young people in this process is of vital importance.
Through a programme of personal and social development Bradóg helps young people to:
- Build self-esteem & self-awareness
- Improve communication & listening skills
- Express themselves though positive and creative mediums
- Develop greater understanding of their strengths & talents
- Discover positive ways to learn and gain knowledge
- Develop greater understanding of personal, social and civic responsibility
Bradóg does this by using youth-centred, non-formal learning activities. These activities are delivered through mediums such as Sport, Art, digital media and training.
